  • 'Odd Socks Day' for Anti-Bullying Week 2021

    We had an 'Odd Socks Day' in support of Anti-Bullying week.  Throughout the week the children considered important issues surrounding bullying .

    The theme for 2021 was  'One word of Kindness' , with many of the children receiving certificates as they were 'caught being kind' in school.

  • Harvest Festival 2021

    We enjoyed a wonderful 'Harvest Festival' morning in school with singing, creating  rainbow harvest salads and harvest crafts.  The children and their families made very generous donations to local food banks which we know will be very much appreciated.

    We welcomed 4 new Reception children to Swallows Class at the beginning of the Autumn Term  They have settled in well to the class and have already become happy members of the Edale School family.

  • First day at Edale School 2020

    This year we welcomed 5 new reception children to Edale School.  They were all fabulous on their first day and enjoyed making new friends and having lots of fun!

    Welcome back, we hope you have all had a great summer.  We are excited to welcome 5 new reception children to our class and hope that they will soon feel part of ‘Swallows Class’ and also part of Edale school.

  • Back to School!

    It's fantastic to be back and to see all of the children so happy and excited to be with their friends once more and enjoying some lovely activities.  Ruth has led our Forest School sessions, Rick has provided some great sporting experiences, Simon has led outdoor Collective Worship and we have enjoyed Art and Lego along with developing our Maths and English through our 'Superheroes' topic.
  • World Book Day 2020

    Swallows Class had an amazing day dressing up as characters from their favourite books.  This year we added an extra special twist - using words to convey the essence of the book or character. The books and characters represented this year were Peter Rabbit, The Koala who could, Gigantosaurus, Pugly, The Tiger who came to Tea, Kitchen Disco and Mrs.Garmeson's favourite The Lost Words.
