Children at Edale School took part in a series of lessons and activities during anti-bullying week. The children discussed issues around bullying and also focused their attention on acts of kindness that they had experienced and added them to our 'Tree of kindness'. They ended the week with a busy morning at Hope School to celebrate 'Children in Need' where they dressed up, decorated cakes, made Pudsey faces and cracked Pudsey codes!
We had a lovely service of remembrance at the church this morning. The children made medals to honour all the men from Edale who did not return home from the war. Our Year 6 Ambassadors read some of their own thoughtful poetry and we reflected on what an impact our soldier silhouettes had in the pews of the church. All children demonstrated the utmost respect during a moment of silence outside.
